A Cup of Comfort for Military Families

A short story I wrote about my father’s experience in World War II will soon be published in a book titled, “A Cup of Comfort for Military Families”, a collection of stories written by people whose lives have been affected by their own or a family member’s participation in military service.

With over 150,000 troops currently serving overseas and Veterans Day coming up, the book is timely as we welcome our soldiers back to try to rebuild their lives here at home, even as we continue to send others to take their places.

Edited by Colleen Sell, author, ghostwriter, magazine editor, journalist, columnist, essayist and copywriter, readers will experience the pride that families and friends feel when a loved one chooses to put his or her needs aside for the benefit of our country.

Though one day is certainly not enough to honor the brave men and women who fight for our freedoms this book continues to honor their commitment page after page. It will be available in major bookstores as well as online.

Whatever your feelings are about the war or conflict in general, throughout our history there have been people willing to lay down their lives for a cause greater than themselves. In this book we honor their sacrifices and those of the people that love and support them.

Thank you to all of the brave men and women who have served our country with such courage. You will never be forgotten….
